My Story

In my mid 20’s I was experiencing a lot of stress with my previous career. On the surface level I thought this was normal and this is just “how it should be.” It got to the point where I lost my menstrual cycle for a full year, had digestive issues and developed insomnia. Deep down I knew these symptoms weren’t normal but I kept telling myself to just power through. While I was seeking for a new career I stumbled upon holistic nutrition. I spent two years studying this miraculous topic and started improving my own diet. During my time at Pacific Rim College I had acupuncture treatments from the students. At that point in time I never understood how powerful acupuncture really was until I experienced it first hand. Within a few sessions I started having menstrual cycles, sleep improved and slowly but surely my digestion improved. Within a year I had regular cycles which has been the biggest game changer with my physical and mental well-being.

As we all know not one thing can make us feel physically, mentally or spiritually better. It really is multifactorial. Holistic health has been the foundation of my health journey and I hope to incorporate that with my clients. Acupuncture has helped me turn off the chatter and the angst that gets built up over time so that I can adapt and deal with stressors with more ease. It turns the switch off and allows me to get into a calming state I cannot replicate on my own.
